Playlists Inspired by Our Favorite Reads - Dispatch #2
Welcome to our wonderful second installment in a series of carefully crafted and curated playlists inspired by our favorite books and authors! As an avid reader obsessed with very specific aesthetics, I absolutely delight in creating highly atmospheric playlists for the literary worlds I'm currently exploring, and I invite you to join me in the journey.
Today brings us another warm weather favorite — a much beloved tale of found family, magic, and mysterious, classified islands. TJ Klune's The House in the Cerulean Sea is aptly described by author V.E. Schwab as equivalent to "being wrapped in a big gay blanket", and I think this is both accurate and a tad bemusing. This playlist, a combination of songs mentioned in the book alongside songs that just feel fitting, is perfect to listen to as you enjoy this heartwarming tale for the very first time.
