A World of Pooh brings together a specially selected collection of stories from Winnie-the-Pooh and The House at Pooh Corner and some of the most popular verse from A.A. Milne's collection for chilren, When We Were Very Young and Now We Are Six. Here we are introduced to Winnie-the-Pooh and his friends Piglet, Eeyore, Tigger, Rabbit, Kanga and Roo, Owl an Christopher Robin. Pooh's world is reflected in Milne's nursery verse where Pooh and Christopher are forever playing.
The characters in the stories are based upon real nursery toys which belonged to A.A. Milne's son, Christopher Robin and their adventures are set in the Ashdown Forest where the family lived. The artist E.H. Shepard lovingly drew the Forest and the toys. The places he drew can still be seen today.
